Misha’s obsession with interactive video projects has begun when youtube introduced annotations. What started as a simple gimmick exploration, has brought him his first gold awards in several international festivals for a youtube based interactive project.
Since then he went far and beyond youtube, focusing on standalone, personalized interactive projects with complex storytelling and creative visuals. His projects have won Webby Awards, FWA SOTD and IAB Mixx Award. He and his co-director Alex are in constant search of how to enrich the viewers experience through different interactive technologies, so that the second screen would not hold a threat of distraction, but another tool of immersion. The co-directors constantly try to extend the frontier of media by combining movie, interactive technologies and traditional advertising in new and original ways.
Misha has a master’s degree in marketing and has been working in the publishing industry for the first 8 years of his career, until one day he joined the dark side and switched from the client’s camp to the advertising agency’s team. His time in ATL creative agency has birthed a strong believe in future exploration of the digital market and he has not looked back since.
For the last six years he has worked with numerous international companies like Unilever, Beiersdorf and Citroen and renowned agencies the likes of BBDO New York, Possible and AKQA London.
But at the end of the day, no matter the size of the project or the client, if there’s a great story to tell and a courage to explore the different possibilities the digital has to offer - Misha is ready to be obsessed once again.
