Alex's main interests are modern film and latest interactive technologies. And his best projects are the ones, where these two interests overlap.
His work was recognized by The Webby Awards in different categories: Best Use of Animation, Best Use of Interactive Video, Best Online Film/Drama, etc. He and his co-director Misha constantly try to extend the frontier of media by combining movie, interactive technologies and traditional advertising in new and original ways. For example their recent work "Partly Tired Slightly Dead" has won several international ad festivals and at the same time was officially selected for US and European film festivals.
Alex started in the industry as a copywriter and a scriptwriter, so the Story was his main focus from the very beginning. No matter the media, genre or length, he still prefers to start every project by giving himself enough time to work with the script. The story development remains his favorite part of any project.
In the course of six years of his directing career he has done projects for brands like Vichy, AXE, Citroen and Rexona. And worked with the biggest international agencies: BBDO Moscow, BBDO New York, Possible, AKQA London, etc.
It doesn’t matter if it's a small start-up or major international brand, Alex always keeps true to the VGNC's core goal: deliver a strong blend of innovative technology and emotional, visually driven storytelling.
